Terms of Service
Erickson Innovations Inc. — LearnPath
Last updated: March 13, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using LearnPath. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use LearnPath.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Erickson Innovations Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), an Alberta corporation operating LearnPath at learnpath.me (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use LearnPath. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
LearnPath is designed for adult learners pursuing professional and personal development goals. It is not intended for or marketed to minors. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. Account Registration
You may create an account using your email address or via Google or Microsoft OAuth. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information, including a display name that will appear on any Skill Records you earn
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at info@learnpath.me
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent trial or subscription limits.
4. Free Trial
LearnPath offers a 14-day free trial for new users. No credit card is required to begin the trial. At the end of the trial period, continued access to premium features requires a paid subscription. We reserve the right to modify or end the trial offer at any time.
5. Subscription and Billing
LearnPath Pro is a paid subscription available on a monthly or annual basis, priced in USD. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through Stripe on a recurring basis.
- Billing cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through Account Settings via the Manage Subscription portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then. Your Skill Records and learning data are not affected by cancellation.
- Refunds: We offer refunds within 48 hours of a charge if you have not used paid features in that period. After 48 hours, charges are non-refundable. Contact info@learnpath.me to request a refund.
- Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase takes effect on your existing subscription.
6. Skill Records and Public Credentials
LearnPath issues verifiable Skill Records to users who demonstrate competency through the platform's learning and assessment system.
- What a Skill Record represents: A Skill Record is evidence of competency demonstrated within the LearnPath learning system. It is not an accredited certification and should not be represented as equivalent to professional licensure or formal academic credentials.
- Public by default: When you claim a Skill Record, it is publicly accessible via a unique verification URL by default. You will be shown a disclosure at the time of claiming explaining what is made public.
- AI interrogation: Anyone with your credential's verification link can use LearnPath's AI interrogation feature to ask questions about how the credential was earned — including your demonstrated skills, areas of difficulty, session activity, and competency evidence. By claiming a credential, you consent to this.
- Visibility control: You may make any Skill Record private at any time from your credentials page. A private credential is immediately removed from public access. You may restore public access at any time.
- Your display name: Your display name will appear on all Skill Records you earn. You are responsible for ensuring your display name is accurate and appropriate.
- Account deletion and credentials: If you delete your account, your Skill Records will remain in their current visibility state — publicly visible credentials remain publicly verifiable, and private credentials remain private. You will lose the ability to change credential visibility after deletion. If you wish to make credentials private, do so before deleting your account. You will be reminded of this at the time of deletion.
- Revocation: We reserve the right to revoke Skill Records if we determine they were earned through dishonest means, manipulation of AI systems, or in violation of these Terms.
LearnPath may also display credentials imported from third-party platforms such as Credly or Badgr. These credentials are verified by their original issuers — LearnPath reads and displays them but does not re-verify or endorse them.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use LearnPath only for lawful, personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data or content from the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of LearnPath
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Submit false or misleading responses to diagnostic tasks or learning sessions to manipulate your learning plan or Skill Record outcomes
- Attempt to manipulate, deceive, or extract unintended output from LearnPath's AI systems through prompt injection, jailbreaking, or similar techniques
- Use the credential verification or AI interrogation features to harass, embarrass, or harm credential holders
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
8. AI-Generated Content
LearnPath uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate personalized learning plans, diagnostic tasks, session content, and credential interrogation responses.
LearnPath Skill Records represent demonstrated competency within the LearnPath learning system. They are not accredited certifications and should not be represented as equivalent to professional licensure or formal academic credentials.
AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. We make no guarantees about the completeness or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content.
9. Intellectual Property
Our content: All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials on LearnPath are owned by or licensed to Erickson Innovations Inc. You may not reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.
Your content: You retain ownership of any content you provide, including learning goals, session responses, and uploaded materials. By submitting content to LearnPath, you grant us a limited license to use it to operate and improve the Service.
Skill Records: Skill Records issued by LearnPath are issued under license. We retain the right to revoke credentials that were fraudulently obtained or earned in violation of these Terms.
10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings. Before deleting, please note:
- Your Skill Records will remain in their current visibility state after deletion — make any credentials private before deleting if you do not want them to remain publicly accessible
- Your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Anonymized, non-identifiable data derived from your activity may be retained for product improvement
- Billing records will be retained for up to 7 years as required by law
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
11. Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy, and any Skill Records earned in violation of these Terms will be revoked.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
LearnPath is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Erickson Innovations Inc. and its officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Alberta, Canada.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
